mommy's belly is growing
oh how your life is going to change
the bedroom isn't your own
your shadow isn't caused by the sun
that dollhouse grandpa built for you, it's now hers too
your clothes will never be where you thought you left them
all those dolls you put away because you're too old, she unpacks and plays with now
that fight over darrell, it may be your first but it won't be your last
high school brings its own kind of frustrations, but you're not new to this, you have a sister
you can handle anything because you've fought over things non stop for years
when you finally move out, you will miss her, though not as much as when you move out of state
finally, you're married
then so is she
you're raising kids at the same time
you're dealing with crap caused by husbands and family
you know you can be yourself and not worry about judgement
a love like few others in life grows and develops and brings such joy
few opinions matter more than hers
you watch her girls
they don't know what troubles are in store
they don't know that blessings lay ahead
oh life is grand
