A little each day, right?

Tonight we went to the Stake Priesthood meeting. Because they presented a thing about finances, they invited the spouses to attend, also. The best part, really, was the ice cream after. Our Stake President buys big buckets of BYU Creamery ice cream. So good. They bought more and fewer people ate it than normal. That means, you guessed it, we got some to take home. As luck would have it, there was the perfect amount of space in our garage freezer for it. It's so stinking good.

So I thought I'd include some interesting tidbits about said ice cream:

* Most popular ice cream flavor: Vanilla.

* Daily ice cream consumption: 75 to 90 gallons of dipping ice cream.

* President Merrill J. Bateman's favorite ice cream flavor: "Merrill's Berry"—otherwise known as Raspberry Almond Fudge.

* Cosmo's campaign for a new flavor: Cosmo says he does not yet have a favorite flavor. If there were a flavor named after him, that would be his favorite. Anyone for "Cosmo's Caramel Crunch"?

In the early days of the BYU Creamery (about 1950), ice cream was sold in quart cartons for about 19 cents. Today a scoop sells for $1.39 and a half-gallon carton of vanilla sells for $2.99.


It really was a great evening. We watched a thing by Dave Ramsey. Now, we get to see how we are doing financially in our family. Since Nate's starting a business, this may get a bit tricky. We'll see.
